Choose the neckline deliberately
A white blouse with a loosely opened collar can look simple with blue jeans. Decide on the opening while sitting and leaning forward, not only standing at a mirror. Close another button or add a suitable top if you want more coverage. Check that its neckline sits calmly beneath the blouse. A visible camisole can belong to the combination rather than needing to be hidden from every angle.
Tuck the hem with movement room
Tuck in the blouse, then raise both arms. Ease a little fabric back above the waistband if the front becomes tightly stretched. If excess material collects at the back, arrange it before sitting. You do not need a perfectly flat surface measured to the millimetre. What matters is a comfortable waistband and a blouse that neither pulls completely out nor becomes caught at one point during normal movement.
Assess white in daylight
Check opacity with the intended underwear and look at the pockets, button front and cuffs. Some edges may show more clearly than the surrounding area. Decide whether you enjoy that effect. Also test the collar beneath a jacket if you plan to bring one. An open collar should not keep being dragged backwards beneath a close-fitting outer layer. Reach forward in the full arrangement to see how it settles afterwards.
Complete the simple base
Add shoes for your route and check the jeans length. A small necklace can sit within the neckline, but it is optional. With jewellery, see whether a pendant catches on the button front. Keep a bag available for your phone and keys rather than weighing down a blouse pocket. If you may later wear the blouse untucked, check that version briefly too, making the change easy without extra planning once you are out.
