Use burgundy and blue as the base
A burgundy T-shirt and short blue skirt provide two clearly visible colours. A black belt and tall black lace-up boots can frame them. Check the T-shirt against the waistband: tucking it in reveals the belt, while leaving it loose changes the colour distribution. Do not decide only while standing. Raise your arms and sit to see whether the fabric gathers beneath the belt. A quieter bag can pick up the darker additions without introducing more colour work or needing to repeat both main shades. Keep the arrangement easy to manage.
Adjust tall laces carefully
Lace-up boots allow adjustment along the shaft. Tighten them enough for a secure fit without uncomfortable pressure on the foot or leg. Walk and bend your knees before settling on the arrangement. If there is also a zip, it should close without strong pulling. Test the intended socks or hosiery with the pair. For a long route, familiar boots make more sense than a new style chosen only for its height. The combination also works with other dark shoes when they better suit your day.
Decide on skirt length independently
Tall boots change the visible area beneath a skirt but do not replace choosing a suitable skirt length. Test sitting, stairs and leaning forward. Tights or a longer version remain possible. Add a jacket with enough room over the T-shirt for a cooler evening. Check its hem against the belt and keep essential belongings in a separate bag. If you expect to walk a lot, choose shoes first and organise the other details afterwards. This keeps the distinctive combination wearable rather than creating a series of pieces that need repeated adjustment.
