Let the jacket colour do its work
An orange trouser suit does not need a second prominent focal point. A plain pale top and quiet shoes let its colour read continuously. Before a professional appointment, check the actual dress code rather than treating a bright colour as automatically suitable or unsuitable. If you are using a suit you already own, set jewellery and your bag aside initially. Look at the foundation and add only what feels missing. A simple watch may be enough. A large pattern beneath the jacket is an option, rather than a necessary upgrade to a plain outfit.
Rehearse the presentation movements
Practise briefly in the clothes you intend to wear. Reach for your notes, walk a few steps and turn as if pointing towards a screen. A blazer can sit differently with an arm fully extended than it does during a seated conversation. If a clip-on microphone is planned, it needs a suitable place at the neckline or lapel; heavy necklaces can interfere there. Ask which microphone will be used if necessary. Keep a remote in a pocket only if it is easy to retrieve and does not noticeably distort the jacket.
Choose the shoes before the day
Pale open-toe heels can give orange trousers a light finish, but closed flats are also possible for an appointment involving plenty of walking. Decide early enough to check the hems at the chosen height. A last-minute switch can leave wide trousers touching the floor. Carry your notes in a bag that opens without requiring everything to be rearranged. Afterwards, the jacket can create a quieter version over neutral trousers. There is no need to reserve the bright suit for one occasion if its separate pieces work in your everyday wardrobe.
