Clarify the setting first

A tan blazer with matching shorts can be an option for an explicitly casual or creative workplace. It is not a universal recommendation for every office. Check the actual expectations before planning the combination for a client meeting. A blazer belt organises the front; a comfortable top underneath should provide the coverage you want without the jacket as well. If shorts do not suit the occasion, use longer trousers in a related shade while keeping the matching-set idea. The suitable setting matters more than the presence of a blazer alone.

Sitting belongs in the outfit check

Shorts change their visible length when seated. Test an ordinary office chair, leaning forward and standing again. Also see whether the blazer belt and trouser waistband press together. The belt should hold the jacket without strongly restricting movement. If the blazer hem completely covers the shorts while standing, decide deliberately whether you like that effect. Do not assume it will remain identical when seated. A secure comfortable fit lets you move between the desk, meetings and short walks without repeatedly rearranging the jacket throughout the working day.

Add sporty details according to your needs

White knee socks and trainers make a distinctly sporty accent. You can keep it or change the effect with quieter socks and other comfortable shoes. With tall socks, check that the upper edge feels comfortable and does not keep sliding down. For a long day, test the shoes with those exact socks. A bag for a device and papers is more practical than extra decorative details. Bring a suitable outer layer for a cool journey and try it over the belted blazer so the two fastenings do not interfere with each other.
